Amora Hotel Riverwalk New Year's Eve tips
Some of the NYE Concierge team in Melbourne got to visit the gorgeous Amora Hotel Riverwalk in Melbourne's Richmond right near the Yarra River. When walking off Bridge Rd and into Amora it was apparent this venue was suited for the fine diners of Melbourne.
The atrium area is large and relaxing, looking back towards the park and Yarra River. That view, mixed with the soft sounds of the music playing outside, made us melt upon the maitre d's welcome. We were shown to the table for a dining experience filled with anticipation.
Our waiter brought us the entree which was a paddle of 5 smoked paprika and saffron battered coffin bay oysters, spring leaves and chipotle mayo. The main quickly followed, where to maximise the tasting we shared a first serving of shiraz and rosemary scented lamb cutlets, lamb bon bons, spring onion champ potato, Koo wee rup asparagus and balsamic jus. Upon licking our lips, the second main arrived. A slow braised oversized shank of swan hill lamb, mash, red wine jus and crispy shallots. Yum!
Then a little walk down to the Yarra River park area followed with a return and a gorgeous desert offering. We had the nutella parfait, raspberry sauce, murray river pink salted popcorn, puffed rice and pistachio powder with coffees and lava cake, raspberry sorbet, strawberries and cream. WOW... the lava cake was AMAZING. It's so funny how we love our desserts and they can define a meal. This Amora dining was sensational and we can see how the guests for New Year's Eve will be well looked after.
To try and work off some of the calories we even had a quick game of table tennis in the hotel recreation area to finish off. Thanks Amora, we love you!
