Prahran Hotel New Year’s Eve tips
A gorgeous Summer afternoon in Melbourne and some of the NYE Concierge team arrived unannounced at the very funky Prahran Hotel on High St. The team were welcomed upon entry and shown to a booth in the window. A gorgeous barrel shaped booth well thought thru with modern design.
We left the menu to the waitress with brief being a selection of PH items for a share plate. Very quickly Oysters Kilpatrick arrived with decadent salt rock presentation. Then the sharing and caring love continued with crispy and lighty spiced chicken tulips with a sweet maple sauce that had the crew wanting more. BBQ’ed / char grilled lamb cutlets were cooked a treat and Jo loved the braised fennel accompaniment. Then some bechamel and chorizo croquettes sat in a capsicum relish! Lovely!
The drinks flowed and a little wander around this industrial and yet modern dining and entertaining setting. There was open plan rooms and then booths for more intimate time. Love this venue.
In terms of drinks, all the good stuff is available from softies to beer, wines, spirits and ciders. Our eye caught sight of the list of Cocktails and Mocktails. And try them we did. The Expresso Martini was sublime and loved the tropical holiday dreaming of the Virgin on the Beach.
There is no doubt patrons are well looked after at the Prahran Hotel and we can see how it will be a great atmosphere on New Year’s Eve or for any other party time. Good food, good drinks, good people! Adds up to one thing, Good Times!
