New Year’s Eve tips
The World Carnivale NYE lifts off this 31st December. So many fantastic South Wharf venues have been banded together on NYE to create one sensational New Year’s Party Precinct under the umbrella of a New Years Carnivale. And it looks like it will be a true Carnivale atmosphere.
Some of our NYE Concierge team dropped down by the gorgeous Yarra River on a fab December day to check it all out. With the South Wharf Showtime events people involved it is guaranteed to be big on “Show” with lots of entertainment! With a multi genre offering taking you on a journey from Rio to Venice to Argentina to Spain across to Asia and the Rio Grade. it truly will be a world experience.
Our team tried some of the dazzling Asian canapes and dumplings … scrumptious. Yes please can I have some more!
Then came some more canapes being too many to mention but the highlight was the quality and attention to the little details. This was all washed down on a lazy Melbourne December afternoon with some Piper-Heidsieck Champagne. Yum Yum. Yeah let’s get in the New Year mood people!
And yes you guessed it this visit day was very similar to the awesome weather Melbourne will experience for the World Carnival NYE on the 31st December.

Location: World Carnivale NYE is held on South Wharf along the Yarra River. A spectacular location to take in all the Melbourne city fireworks as well as the functions own private fireworks in the Waterfront Venues on the northern side of the Docklands and Victoria Harbour. It is a sensational location to watch the fireworks from and all the action going on the water.
The NYE team has a ball and was a little over awed trying to take in all the experiences that will happen on NYE in the various areas of the World Carnival South Wharf Precinct. We love it and some of the NYE team are returning on New Years to experience it first hand! So see you there! Be quick before all the tix go!
Accommodation ideas and notes: Lots of accommodation options in Melbourne nearby like Hilton South Wharf. That will then give you easy access to the South Wharf location for this World Carnivale NYE event. There are lots of other accommodation options near by.
Parking and drop off: There is plenty of paid parking in South Wharf. Also you could come by water taxi and getting dropped off by boat is so Super Uber. Or if you are getting dropped off head to the South Wharf DFO area and Hilton drive thru driveway. Lookout the valet may want to park you!
